じょうはな織館
Our weaving experience facilities are in the Old Johana Silk Weaving Association’s main administrative building that was constructed in 1928 (free to enter). Thanks to the Giyofu brick and wooden architecture of the building, it was registered as a one of the Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan. For the weaving experience, you can use a full-fledged weaving machine that was actually used for weaving silk; it is so easy to use that even a complete beginner can use it to experience Johana’s historic weaving culture. In our building we also have a shop, a gallery, and a café. If you interested in buying any silk weaved products, there are handmade weaved original works from our expert staff in our shop.
