360 years ago, when the 3rd Kaga lord Maeda Toshitsune came to this area to go falconing, an old man gave him some handmade dried persimmons and received great praise. It is said that ever since that day, the Maeda Clan always encouraged the production of dried persimmons, which lead to this region’s dried persimmons becoming incredibly popular.
