Founded in 1880, the Sanshoraku brewery makes sake close to the lives of the people of Gokayama. The beech forests protecting the villages from avalanches produces the water, and harsh Gokayama winters and heavy snowfalls provide the unique essence and taste of Sanshoraku sake.
